This beautiful necklace is courtesy of Sylca Designs. I actually reached out to this company because I really wanted to work with them. Not only is all of their jewellery made from recycled wood, shells, and natural dyes, it’s also incredibly awesome. The pieces are really chunky and unique, like the one I chose, but also the ones here, here and here.
The owners are a mother/daughter duo who really want to make a positive impact. A percentage of each purchase is donated to Kiva, an organization that gives micro-loans to Filipino women in need, allowing them the capital to start their own businesses and leave poverty behind.
I’d really encourage all of you to check out Sylca! You’ll be able to spend some time browning really lovely jewellery (which sounds pretty awesome to me!)
